The latest panic about remote work isn't about lack of productivity but the loss of the ever-elusive workplace culture.

Covid taught companies that their staff could be wildly productive during lock down. But despite effective work ethic from their staff, bosses still believe being in the office is better.

코로나19를 계기로 회사들은 락다운 상태에서도 직원들이 상당한 생산성을 발휘할 수 있다는 것을 알게되었다. 이처럼 직원들이 효과적으로 직업정신을 발휘했음에도 불구하고, 사장들은 여전히 직원이 사무실에서 일하기를 원한다.

"I konw people are being productive," says Judith Carr-Rodriguez, the chief executive officer of FIG, a New York City-based advertising firm which eperienced growth after pivoting to remote work. "But are they learing, growing, being challenged? I worry we're creating a culture where people are not exposing themselves in ways they would be in the office."
